Leagues

Our Club offers three different leagues - a Mixed, Ladies' and a Men's traditional 4 person leagues as well as a Junior program (Little Pebbles and Junior Rocks) and a Sturling League. All leagues are designed to be fun and recreational. The Mixed and Sturling Leagues allow both male and female players to compete together, while the Ladies' and Men's Leagues are for members of a single gender. All leagues involve friendly competition and are a great way to get active and stay healthy.

Mixed League

Come join the fun with the Slave Lake Curling Association! Our mixed league meets on Mondays at 7 pm, providing the perfect opportunity to learn and enjoy the sport of curling alongside old and new friends alike.

Ladies League

Come and join the fun at Slave Lake Curling Association! Our popular ladies league meets on Wednesdays at 7 pm for a great game and an even better time! All skill levels are welcome to join.

Men's League

At the Slave Lake Curling Association, we offer an exciting and rewarding Men's League to enjoy on Thursday nights at 7:30 pm. Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned veteran, come join the club and have some good-natured fun while mastering the sport of curling.

Fees

Early Bird League Fees (Before September 30): $1200 per team

League Fees: $1500 per team

Membership Fee: $22 per person (Each team needs a minimum of 4 members)

Volunteer Hours

Volunteering is an essential part of the curling club experience, and we are always looking for enthusiastic volunteers! We ask each team to provide 25 hours of volunteer service per season, which can include helping out at events, cleaning up the facility, and more. It is so important that our volunteer hours are filled in order to keep the club running smoothly. Every team must also pay a volunteer bond of $500 which will be refunded once the hours have been completed. Volunteering is a great way to become involved in the curling community and make new friends.

Sturling League

Tuesdays 11:20am - 12:40pm

Session 1: October 28 to December 17

Session 2: February 3 to March 24

Two 8-week sessions

$70 per player each session

Schedule

The new season will start in October, when the ice will be ready for curling. We are anticipating the ice will be ready October 14 this year. Members can sign up for leagues and tournaments throughout the season and also take part in fun events like bonspiels. The curling season usually runs until March, when the ice needs to be removed. The club also offers special events year-round, so there's always something to look forward to.

Junior Curling

Little Pebbles: Grades K-3 - Tuesday: 5:45-6:30pm

Junior Rocks: Grades 4-12 - Tuesday: 6:00-7:15pm

Fall Session: Nov. 4 - Dec. 16, 2025 (6 weeks) $50 per child
Spring Session: Jan. 6 - Mar. 10, 2026 (10 weeks) $90 per child
$120 per child for both sessions

Equipment will be provided, curlers just need clean indoor shoes and clean pants, Helmets are required for Little Pebbles
